In response to the recent arson committed at the American Family Planning abortion facility, the Emerald Coast Coalition for Life and 40 Days for Life Pensacola ministries feel it is important to make it very clear that the arsonist arrested is not and never has been part of these pro-life ministries. His actions were completely contrary to the core values enveloped in our manifesto. Any violence or destruction of property, is never, nor will ever, be tolerated. In this light, we stand in solidarity with the entire Pensacola community and denounce all acts of violence, including the nearly two thousand children who die from abortion in Pensacola each year.

The 40 Days for Life and Emerald Coast Coalition for Life ministries bring Christ-centered hope, healing, and mercy to the sidewalks in front of Pensacola’s abortion facility. We pray, fast, and stand in peaceful vigil for the conversion of the abortionist, the abortion facility staff, the mothers, the fathers, children scheduled to die, and for the healing of post abortive mothers and fathers. We do not protest. Protesting never creates the opportunity to bring the love of Christ to anyone. We pray and when we speak, we speak only in love. We see each person, including the abortionist, as a person that needs the love of God and our goal is to bring His love to a place where God is so desperately needed in our community.

Let us continue to pray, fast, and stand in peaceful vigil, for their lives.

Astounding Video Depicts Unborn Baby’s Full Development

An astounding new video is drawing rave reviews from pro-life advocates around the world for its depiction of the fetal development of an unborn baby.

The new video on YouTube features Alexander Tsiaras, the author of From Conception to Birth: A Life Unfolds, presenting a video he helped develop which shows a visualization of the unborn child’s development from conception to birth. The video already has nearly 80,000 views even though it was only uploaded to YouTube on November 14.

Sidewalk Counseling Training

What is sidewalk counseling?
Sidewalk counseling is exactly what the name implies—standing on the sidewalk outside an abortion clinic, counseling women and couples on their way inside. It is a last attempt to turn their hearts away from abortion and offer real help. (adapted from http://prolifeaction.org/sidewalk/ )

If you feel called to become a sidewalk counselor then, mark your calendars!
There will be a sidewalk counseling training session at St. Paul’s Catholic Church located at 3131 Hyde Park Road in Pensacola. The session will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, October 27th in the Giri Room.
All are welcome to attend. We have a wonderful couple that will teach us proven techniques they were taught by Chris Slattery and Msgr. Reilly in New York City.

After the sidewalk counseling session on Thursday evening the skills taught will be put into practice the next morning at 5 AM as women are arriving for abortions in Pensacola.

A Servant’s Weekend…

Thank you to everyone that helped out at the 40 Days for Life outreach table this past weekend. We were able to witness to hundreds of people. The festival grounds were filled with pro-life messages as children carried around pro-life balloons! We spoke with several people interested in 40 Days for Life. The most significant interactions were with mothers or family members who have personally experienced abortion. It is reaching these souls that makes the long weekend the most rewarding. For these mothers and family members who have felt the pain of abortion finally found an outlet. They finally found someone that cares for them and they were so grateful for all the information about silent no more and Rachel’s Vineyard and the love they received from everyone at the table. This is the reason why we do this outreach year after year. Thank you God for allowing us to be your servants!
Along with witnessing to those needing healing after abortion, we had a beautiful interaction with one man. He came to our table and took some Rachel’s Vineyard information as well as other materials. He then came back 30 minutes later. He shook my wife’s hand and said, “Thank you for being here. It really means a lot to me what you are doing.” He then began to tear up and continued to say, “You see I am adopted, and I wanted to let you know that your work matters. Keep it up!” He then walked away as quickly as he appeared. We were left in awe, saying Praise the Lord!
Thank you God for allowing us to be a witness for you O Lord! All Glory and Honor goes to you O Lord! Amen!

Life Saved This Friday!

This past Friday morning, women and men seeking abortion were met by 19 smiling and singing children bright and early in the morning. One mother chose life and brought her ultrasound photo to show the group. After seeing the image of her baby she just knew she could not take the life of her child. Please keep this mom along with all of the mothers facing an unplanned pregnancy during this 40 Days for Life. May we be there for them in their joy as well as their sorrow.

Why Don’t You Read Books to Children…

On Respect Life Sunday we had a fantastic turnout. Well over fifty people attended the afternoon prayer vigil hosted by Florida Teens for Life. Fr. Paul led us in prayer and we had teens and young adults lead us in praise and worship. What a wonderful afternoon it was as we stood together in prayer. We prayed for the unborn, their mothers and fathers, for the conversion of the abortionist, as well as the abortion facility staff.
As we stood there we had one woman come over to us and ask us to just go read books to children. She wanted us to go away. As we explained to her what we are about she began to change. She was especially moved when she was able to meet our friend who chose life 18 months ago, and hold her 1 year old child (baby D) who was schedule to die at AMS of Pensacola. She kept saying, “What a sweet baby,” as she held baby D in her arms. She began to see we that our presence in front of the abortion facility does matter. Please pray for this woman as she has a lot of hurt. In the end this woman was able to see that we are about bringing the mercy of Christ to the street in front of Pensacola’s last remaining abortion facility.
We need you to keep coming out to pray in front of Pensacola’s last remaining abortion facility. If you have come out once, come out again and bring someone with you. If you haven’t come out, take an opportunity to come out and pray today. Hearts and minds are being changed when we stand in front of our abortion facility to peacefully pray to end abortion. Remember children lose their lives Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings in Pensacola. God has work for us to do. How do we respond?

You Are Not Alone We Can Help

One of the prayer vigil participants held a sign that read “You Are Not Alone We Can Help.” It’s true we can and we have. That’s exactly the message we hope mother’s and father’s receive when they see us praying during 40 Days for Life.

It appears two mothers chose life this past Friday in Pensacola! Praise God! We have had twelve hours of coverage each of the first four days this fall! Keep coming! Keep praying! Lives are being saved!

We met a man Friday morning that shared a very powerful story. You will see his picture below. He is holding a picture in his hands. His daughter was scheduled to abort her daughter (his grand daughter). He and his wife prayed all day long that one day in 1986. She went into the abortion center but never went through with it. God answered their prayers. Today, the child that was to be aborted has a child. You will see four generations of women in the picture he holds. Abortion would have eliminated two from that picture. He heard about 40 Days for Life at his bible study group and when he prayed at his wife’s grave site he was reminded of this almost tragic event in his life. He shared his story with several of the men at his Men of St. Joseph bible study and he wanted to share it with the rest of us.
