Everyone, please make every effort to come Thursday evening to our “Cast the Vision” meeting.  Also, if you know of any groups that would want to become involved in 40 Days for Life please invite them.

We saw a quote on a billboard this past weekend.  On the billboard was the picture of a firefighter and beside the firefighter it read.  “We saved a life today.  How about you?”  That’s exactly what 40 Days for Life is about, “We save lives…How about you?”  We help save the life of the mother, the father, the unborn child, the abortionist, the clinic staff, and ourselves from a world of apathy.  We are less than one month away from the start of 40 Days for Life, let’s give it our all for the next 28 days and ask everyone that you know, every pastor you know, and every church group that you know, to get involved in 40 Days for Life.

Let’s pray for each other daily.  We all must be rooted in prayer and if your health permits, let us begin fasting as a group for the success of 40 Days for Life of Pensacola, and ask the Lord to send laborers for his harvest.  Amen.

Monday, March 8 marks the midway point in our Spring 40 Days for Life Campaign.  To honor the Divine Mercy to whom we dedicate this Spring 40 Days for Life Pensacola, we will hold a candle-light vigil at 6pm in front of  the AMS of Pensacola abortion facility.

Also, Monday,  March 8 will begin our DIVINE MERCY NOVENA  “for mothers, that they not abort their offspring; for infants in danger of being put to death in the womb; for a change of heart of providers of abortions and of their collaborators; for human victims of stem cell research, genetic manipulation, cloning, and euthanasia; and for all entrusted with the government of peoples, that they may promote the “Culture of Life” so as to put an end to the “culture of death.” (Pope John Paul II)

Papal Blessing for the Eucharistic Apostles of The Divine Mercy

From Pope John Paul II on March, 2003

Calling to Remembrance the participation in Our Lord’s Agony in Gethsemani of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska of The Most Blessed Sacrament, who at least thrice in her lifetime willingly accepted the violent pains that convulsed her for three hours and at times caused her to lose conciousness, as allowed by Jesus in order to offer reparation to God for infants murdered in their mothers’ wombs (Diary, §1276).

To All Members of The Eucharistic Apostles of The Divine Mercy—A Lay Ministry Outreach of the Congregation of Marians of The Immaculate Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary—and To All The Faithful Worldwide, who join them in offering The Divine Mercy Chaplet—revealed to St. M. Faustina for averting divine chastisement—for mothers, that they not abort their offspring; for infants in danger of being put to death in the womb; for a change of heart of providers of abortions and of their collaborators; for human victims of stem cell research, genetic manipulation, cloning, and euthanasia; and for all entrusted with the government of peoples, that they may promote the “Culture of Life” so as to put an end to the “culture of death.”

I impart, as a token of a Superabundance of Divine Graces, My Heartfelt Apostolic Blessing.

Signed: John Paul II

Indeed, the link between this devotion and abortion is established by St. Faustina herself and recorded in her “Diary.” Fr. Seraphim Michalenko, MIC, who was a principal translator of St. Faustina’s diary, and the postulator of her cause of canonization, writes the following:

“On at least three occasions, from 8:00-11:00 in the evening, she felt like her insides were being torn apart. She suffered so much that she thought she was going to die. The doctors couldn’t figure out what was ailing her, and no medication was able to alleviate her sufferings. Later, she was given to understand that she was undergoing those pains for mothers who were aborting their children (Diary, 1276).

“On another occasion, she had a vision of an angel coming with thunderbolts to destroy one of the most beautiful cities of her country. And she felt powerless to do anything about it (Diary, 474). What antidote did the Lord give her? The Chaplet of Divine Mercy. [She explained] that the city was to be chastised for its sins, primarily the sin of abortion.” (“Wombs of Mercy,” Marian Helpers Bulletin, Summer 1995, p.13).

(Fr. Frank Pavone)
